Evaluating investment options and managers

SCLC [1] has extensive investment manager research capabilities. We maintain data on over 10,000 publicly traded mutual funds, using various applicable data sources, including Morningstar, CDA Weisenberger and Standard & Poors/Micropal. We also have access to private manager performance records through the PIPER database. For benchmarking purposes, we subscribe monthly to several hundred investment indices. Additionally, we maintain several investment performance evaluation software packages. Our primary performance evaluation software is a suite of products from data and software provider, Ibbotson Associates, Inc., which we supplement with proprietary spreadsheet applications.

SCLC has deep knowledge and broad experience in evaluating the value-added performance of money managers and is often called upon to produce reports both for litigation support [2] as well as for fiduciary [3] surveillance and monitoring activities.
